He was predeceased by: his parents, Cortez Brazeal and Ollie Buchanan Brazeal; his former wife Faye Niblett; his wife Merle Mays; his son Phillip Brazeal; his stepson Charlie Brigman; and his siblings, Mary Harris, Betty Wallis Waters and Lawrence Aaron Brazeal.
He is survived by: his children, Sylvia Epting (Gerry), Ricky Brazeal (Pam) and David Brazeal (Diane); his stepson Tony Brigman of Baldwyn; his sisters, Shirley Mace of Tupelo and Sara Christian (Jimmy); and his grandchildren, Sonya Johnson, Tonya Hendrix, Kevin, Dena Buse, Kristy Tucker, Brad, Jeremy Epting, Anna, Lori Cox, Robert, Drew Epting, Haylie, Nikki Sanchez, Ale, Stephanie Penniger and James (Brenda Carter). He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren, also a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Waters Funeral Home (309 N 2nd St, Baldwyn, MS 38824).
