He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence John "Hoppy" Cantrell and Frances Ruth Robbins Cantrell. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Cantrell; his daughters, Brandy Cook (Carson) of Fulton and Emily Boxx (Cody) of Booneville, Mississippi; his grandchildren, Mason Cook, Tate Cook, Piper Boxx and Blakely Boxx; and his sisters, Janice Hartline (Mike) of Saltillo, Mississippi. and Carol Shirley (Brad) of Saltillo, Mississippi..

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pegues Funeral Directors (535 W Jefferson St, Tupelo, MS 38804).
