She was predeceased by: her parents, P. J. Hammond and Maude Hammond; her brother Claude Hammonds; and her husband Ed Ball. She is survived by: her children, Willie Faye Buchanan (Billy), Rachel Turnage (Chris) and Ryan Ball; her stepdaughter Melinda Pittman (Alfred); her daughter Rhonda Adcox; her siblings, Theomae Stringer and Carroll Hammond (Dana); and her grandchildren, Mackie Breeden (Loni), Kyle Breeden (Kyla), Eric Buchanan (Crystal), Jennifer Allen (Roy), Colton Turnage (Morgan), Cheyenne Ellis (Dra), Logan Ledet, Bentley Ball, Ella Ball, Gavin Ball, Kaden Ledet and Ian Pittman. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Hurricane Creek Baptist Church (247 Hurricane Creek Rd, Sandy Hook, MS 39478). Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
