It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alan Wayne Scruggs of Sardis, Mississippi, who passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Alan may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Alan touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Donald Scruggs and Earlene Tucker Scruggs; his brother Faron Earl Scruggs; and his brother-in-law Dale Crowell. He is survived by: his sister Brenda Scruggs Crowell of Batesville, Mississippi; his sister-in-law Liz Scruggs of Hernando, Mississippi; and his nieces, Melody Pearson, Michelle Kuykendoll and Mary Margaret Pearson.
