He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Splawn (Damian) of Sardis, MS, Kasey Vestal of Sardis, MS, James Flores Burkett of Missouri, Buck Osborn of Sardis, MS and Dustin Osborn (Jessica) of Batesville, MS; and his siblings, Barbara Fleetwood Vestal of Ruleville, MS and Wayne Vestal of Cleveland, MS.. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.
A memorial gathering was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Forrest Memorial Park (340 MS-35, Batesville, MS 38606). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
