He was predeceased by: his parents, L. Jones Barnett and Eleanor Neely Barnett; his sister Gaeba Barnett Gray; and his aunt Ruth Neely Foster. He is survived by: his cousins, Jamie Barnett (Donna) and Misty Leach (John Michael); his nephew Jeremy Magness; his great-niece Maelee Magness; his uncle Jimmy Barnett (Agnes); and his close friend Ellen Buell.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hebron Baptist Church (13883 Ballentine Rd, Sardis, MS 38666). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 2:15 PM to 3:15 PM at the Hebron Cemetery (13883 Ballentine Rd, Sardis, MS 38666).
