He is survived by: his wife Shirley Gant of Sardis, MS; his children, Marolyn Cruz (Alberto) of Defuniak Springs, FL, Joe David Gant, Jr. (Hailey) of Freeport, FL and Charles Gant of Searcy, AR; his stepsons, James Latham of Collierville, TN and George Jackson (Elicia) of Atlanta, GA; and his siblings, Nancy Harvell (Shaun) of Frayser, TN, Katie Gant of Jackson, MS and William Gant of Sardis, MS.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren.
