She was predeceased by: her husband Gately Brashier; her parents, B. C. "Preacher" Hardin and Verda Hardin; and her brothers, Wendall Hardin, Jerry Hardin and Jeff Hardin.

She is survived by: her son Grant Brashier of Ridgeland; and her stepdaughter Greta Brashier of Newton. She is also survived by 4 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren.
