He was predeceased by : his parents, Floyd Bryant Channell and Coleen Papizan Channell; and his grandchildren, Hudson Tisdale and Kylie Tisdale. He is survived by : his wife Kristie Woolwine Channell of Seminary; his sons, Zachary Tisdale (Claudia) of Petal, Abdull Holder (Naomi) of Petal, Bryant and Adam Channell of Seminary; his siblings, Steve Newsome (Annette) of Cow Pens, SC, Darlene Dickerson (Mickey) of Magnolia, MS and Lori Vicente of Crystal Springs, MS; and his grandchildren, Hunter Brewer of Petal, Owen Jackson of Petal, Annabelle Tisdale of Petal and Harper Tisdale of Petal. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Billy M. King Colonial Chapel (3202 US 49, Collins, MS 39428). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Bullock Cemetery.
