He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thomas Cranford and Scottie Ann Bass Bateman; his stepfather Cescro Clinton Bateman (Bob); his sister Karen Lynn Reynolds; and his grandson Adam Scott Bateman.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Drew Bateman of Seminary; his children, Cheryl Lynn Bateman Ashby (Steve) of Ocean Springs, Kyle Scott Bateman, MD (Macie) of Dauphin Island and Robert Scott Bateman of New Orleans, Louisiana; his sister Anna Marie Kern (Gary); his brother-in-law David Reynolds (Kathi); his grandchildren, Amy Nichole Robinson (Tommy), Holly Beth Bateman, Lauren Beth Cowart (Megan Case), Brittany MaeAnn Bateman and Kyle Scott Bateman, Jr. (Hannah); his great grandchildren, Ashby, Thomas and Robert Robinson; and his grandchildren, Alli, Adam Case, Ashlyn Cowart, Evie and Trase Webb. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family members.
