He is survived by : his daughter Ayre Lewis; his close friend Gaye Lewis; his siblings, Joann Smith (Ronnie), Sue Sullivan (Julius) and Thomas "Tom" Edward Lewis (Betty); his granddaughter Lexie Veazey; and his nephews, Blake Hicks and Michael Hicks.
