He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Murphy and Melba Murphy; and his brother Robert Earl "Butch" Murphy, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Slavica Murphy; his children, Eboni Murphy of Atlanta, GA, Anastasija "Tasha" Markic of Germantown, TN, Sasha Markic of Oxford, MS, Ernest Paul "E. J." Murphy, Jr. (Amina) of Costa Rica and Forrest Ryan "Buddha" Murphy of Costa Rica; his sisters, Kathie Hunter (Tom) of Orem, Sherry Duncan (Doug) of Highland and Debbie Murphy of Orem, Utah; and his grandchildren, Zoe and Bud. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
