He was predeceased by: his daughters, Virginia Anne Mabry-Brister (Sissy) and Joyce Nicole Mabry (Nikki); his grandson Jarriet Brister; and his parents, Hugh Swepton Mabry (Swept) and Eunice Kopf Mabry.

He is survived by: his wife Anne Marie Mabry; his sons, Andy Mabry (Carla "Sissy") and Johnny Mabry (Kelly); his grandchildren, Justin Mabry (Austin), Chase Mabry (Kaylee), Dakota Mabry (Haley), Elliott Mabry (Alyssa), Chelsea Rowan (Brandon) and Hayley Rhodes (James); his great grandchildren, Trace Rhodes, Ana Elise Miller (Elle), Braylen Rhodes, Harper Mabry, Hayes Rowan, Piper Mabry, Graham Mabry, Ryder Rhodes, Gray Mabry, Cooper Rhodes, Jon Dawson Mabry, Rafe Mabry, Rush Mabry, Mabry Kate Rowan, Vivianne Mabry, Cohen Mabry and Cullen Mabry; and his sisters, Marcine Taylor, Jan Amos and Miranda Medlin (Steve). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
