He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester McCool and Ozell Curtis McCool (Peggie Nowell McCool); his granddaughter Heidi Brunson; and his siblings, Garland, Aaron, Charles, Laverne and Barbara McPhail.
He is survived by: his children, Gloria Cain (Rick) and Wesley McCool (Erin Ramirez); his grandchildren, Michael Brunson, Zachary McCool (Brenna), Cory McCool (Liz) and Chelsea Hall (Tim); his great grandchildren, Robert, Bryant, Alec, Isabella, Lincoln, Lilly, Evelyn and Eleanor; and his close friend Betty Scoggins. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Doty Springs Baptist Church (2491 Attala Rd 5205, Ethel, MS 39067). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
