He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Mengarelli and Mary Avaltroni Mengarelli; and his siblings, Mack, Roy, John, Emma Jean Mills and Clara Clubb.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Stembridge Mengarelli of Shelby, MS; his daughters, Lisa Mengarelli of Rathdrum, ID and Lynette Mengarelli Miller (Michael) of Cleveland, MS; his nephew Len Hamilton (Kandy) of Auburn, AL; his niece Melanie Hamilton Isaacks (Chip) of Batesville, MS; and his brothers, Victor Mengarelli (Lee) of Picayune, MS and James Paul "Jimmy" Mengarelli (Debra) of Lafayette, LA. He is also survived by 17 Great-grandchildren.
