It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas E. Johnson Jr. of Shubuta, Mississippi, who passed away on July 23, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Thomas leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas E. Johnson, Sr. and Myrtle Lee Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Langley Johnson of Shubuta, MS; his daughters, Laura Van Orden of Shubuta, MS and Lindy Conner (Clay) of Waynesboro, MS; and his grandchildren, Cammy Conner, Chelsey Conner and Joseph Van Orden. He is also survived by 7 brothers and 4 sisters.
