She was predeceased by: her parents, Elijah Barnes, Sr. and Jennie Lee Sutton Barnes. She is survived by: her husband Mannie Grinstead of Silver Creek, MS; her children, Emmanuel Chism of Chicago, IL, Gwendolyn Eatmon of Silver Creek, MS and Glenda Longino of Silver Creek, MS; and her siblings, Larry Barnes of Silver Creek, MS, Charles S. Barnes of Silver Creek, MS, Edna Lee Madison of Silver Creek, MS, Estella Stringer of Gulfport, MS, Sarah Gholar of Silver Creek, MS and Sylvia Rogers of Silver Creek, MS. She is also survived by grandchildren: 5; great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Lucas Holiness Church of Christ.
