With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Burt of Silver Creek, Mississippi, born in Marion, Mississippi, who passed away on January 7, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Bernard and Mary Elizabeth Kirby Cavanaugh; and her siblings, George, Barney, Maurice, Lawrence Cavanaugh and Christine Cavanaugh.
She is survived by: her husband Davis T. Burt of Silver Creek; her daughters, Lana Sturgon (Frank) of Puckett and Debbie Yakstis (Michael) of Brandon; her siblings, Dorothy Ann Divine of Canton and Johnny Cavanaugh of Olo; and her grandchildren, Erynn Sturgon, Thomas Sturgon and Maggie Yakstis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
