It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul Hughes of Smithdale, Mississippi, who passed away on August 3, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Paul Hughes to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Prentiss A. Hughes and Florence Murry Hughes; his wife Nora Hughes; his siblings, Alfred Hughes, Glenn Ray Hughes and Brenda Hughes; and his grandson Quentin Emfinger.
He is survived by: his children, William P. Hughes (Stephanie), Jacob A. Hughes, Sonya D. Bassemier (Shane) and Sabrinia Greene (Mike); and his siblings, Alvin P. Hughes, Jimmy Dale Tyler (Itonya "Sissy") and Terri Nettles. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hartman-Jones Funeral Home (1801 Delaware Ave, McComb, MS 39648). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
