He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Bass and Ruby Jewel Fisher Bass; his wife Patricia; his son Mike Bass; his grandson Keith Bass; and his siblings, Aubrey Jean, John Kenneth, James Elvin Bass and Dorothy Marie Bass Coney.

He is survived by: his sons, Mark (Cheryl) and Matthew Bass; his grandchildren, Anthony (Susan), Tricia, Clyde and Mallory (Patrick); his great grandchildren, Caleb, Eva, Liam, Jaxon and Maddox; his daughter-in-law Kathy Campbell; his sister Mattie Mae Bass Pitts; and his friend Richard Taylor.
