He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Monroe Dixon and Dorothy Jacobs Dixon; his sister Diane Dixon; and his son-in-law Charlie Respess. He is survived by: his wife Helen Mote of Virginia; his daughters, Carla Respess of Olive Branch and Angela Gaia (Marty) of Germantown, Tennessee; his brother Jim Dixon (Pookie); his grandchildren, Drew Respess (Ashley), Bekah Respess and Allison Tibbits (Taylor); and his great grandchild Rhodes Respess.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
