We announce the death of James Michael Everett (Southaven, Mississippi), born in Marks, Mississippi, who passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 58. James Michael will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Faye and Paul; his brother Raymond; his cousin Peggy; and his aunt Bonnie.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jessica Sims and Brittney Everett; his siblings, Suzanne Pantone, Shelia Helton, Tammy Winger and Ty Everett; his nieces and nephews, Abigail Helton, Sarah Helton, Carrie Everett, Hunter, Luke, Ethan Helton, Mark Spainhour and Dustin Winger; and his cousin Angela Smith. He is also survived by other family and friends, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Carter Memorial Chapel at Twin Oaks (290 Goodman Rd E, Southaven, MS 38671). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home (290 Goodman Rd E, Southaven, MS 38671).
