He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thompson and Ellamarie Thompson; and his son Laurence Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Betty J. Thompson; his stepdaughters, Sue Stewart (Chuck) of Covington, Carin McClain (Mike) of Brighton, Wanda Simpson of Southaven and Lisa Delk (David) of Covington; his daughters, Vikki Dilworth of Nashville and Leigh Jordan (Joel) of Arkansas; his great grandchild Bella; and his sisters, Ellen Jessen of Pontotoc, Carolyn Oaks of Pontotoc, Claudia Perry of Pontotoc and Brenda Miller of Memphis. He is also survived by 8 step-grandchildren, 3 grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren.
