She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Roane Shaw and Ila Mae Shaw; her children, Lee Underwood (Candi) and Ann McClendon (Joe); her daughter-in-law Cyndi Underwood; her sister Mary Louise Shaw; her son John Ross Underwood; her granddaughter-in-law Ashley Ingram; and her grandchildren, Natalie Vandevender (Van), John Owen Underwood (Chelsea), Caroleen Eifling (Gus), Shaw Ingram (Caroline), Roane Miller (Caylon), Claire Barnhart (Matthew), Ross Ingram, Cory McClendon and Brittany Hill (Noah). She was also cherished by her fifteen great-grandchildren.
Martha, and her family, were very grateful for her wonderful community of friends in Greenville who looked after her during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church in Greenville, MS.
