He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Wilburn Clay, Sr.; his brother Anthony Dale Clay; his nephew Garett May; and his stepfather Willis Jones. He is survived by: his mother Janice Ann Clay Jones (Werling); his wife Toni Dianne Clay of Coldwater, MS; his sons, Michael "Colby" Clay (Erica), Andrew Blake Clay (Katheryne) and Caleb Patrick Clay (Rachel); his grandchildren, Corbin Clay, Camden Clay, Cayden Clay, Corey Clay, Aiden Clay, Alex Clay, Abel Clay, Avalyn Clay and Averie Clay; his siblings, Joseph Wilburn Clay, Jr. (Beverly), Jimmy David Clay (Sandy), Robert Douglas Clay (Amy), Darrell James Clay (Melissa) and Stephanie Ruth Clay Merchant; his stepmother Wanda Clay; and his stepsisters, Karen Jones Smith (Tim) and Susan Jones Gutierrez.
