He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Blackburn of Southaven, MS, Roger Simmons of Florida, Randy Simmons of Wisconsin and Robert Simmons of Batesville, MS; and his siblings, Roy Simmons (Becky) of Pope, MS, John Ed Simmons (Brenda) of Winona, MS, Jackie Morrow of Batesville, MS and Bill Arnold Simmons (Gail) of Raymond, MS. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
