He was predeceased by : his parents, Clyde and Jessie Spann; his wife Dorothy L. Spann; his daughters, Dorothy Jean and Margaret; and his grandson Terry Green.
He is survived by : his children, Betty LaMarr, Georgia Bernice Spann, Robert Eugene Spann (Minnie), Leo Spann (Mattie), Leon Spann (Earline), Linda Leslie (Alphonso) and Sherman Spann (Shelia); and his siblings, Mary Spann, Betty Spann (Hubert), Mattie Ballentine and Curtis Spann (Maxine) of Sardis, MS. He is also survived by nephews, other relatives and friends.
