He is survived by: his sons, Jaylyric Petty, Nautica D. Petty of Starkville, MS and Jawaun Dequinta Dyson of West Point, MS; and his granddaughters, Lyrica Petty and Imani Rose Dyson. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
