He is survived by: his wife Virginia Vail; his daughter Diane Scarbrough (Charles) of Starkville, MS; his siblings-in-law, Patricia Turner of Florence, MS, Louise Vail of South Carolina, Dean Vail of Millport, AL, Johnny Miller (Marsha) of Ackerman, MS and Jimmy Donahou (Lydia) of Starkville, MS; and his goddaughter Molly Brown Ray (Parker) of Houston, TX.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
