She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Dawkins; her parents, Bennie Gazaway and Vada Gazaway; and her siblings, Pearllie Ballard, Lavelle Shank, Edward Gazaway, Cortez Gazaway, Thomas Gazaway, Bennie E. Gazaway, Jr. and William Gazaway.

She is survived by: her children, Hilda Morris (Eddie) of Starkville and Matthew Dawkins (Denise) of Houston, TX; and her sister Daisy Gourch of Goshen. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
