It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Duren Windle of Starkville, Mississippi, born in Gordo, Alabama, who passed away on April 13, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Albert Earl Windle, Sr.; her siblings, Charles Albert Duren, Nell Duren Jones and Anne Drinnon; and her parents, Wesley Albert Duren and Gladys Allen Duren.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Windle Thompson, Yvonne Windle Higdon (Wallis), Lanie Windle Patterson and Earl Windle, Jr. (Jane); her brother George Bryant Duren (Margaret); and her grandchildren, Jason Windle (Amanda), Brian Windle (Lori), Michelle Baker (John), Andrew Higdon, Stacey Higdon-Barringer (Reuben), Lauren Goodman Dearing (Jared) and Bailey Goodman Criswell (Clay). She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
