She was predeceased by: her parents, Barney Jackson Jourdan and Maybell Clark Jourdan; her children, Dianne Howell Burkes Myers and Cameron Scott Howell; her grandson Patrick Preston Myers; and her siblings, Mary Elizabeth Cade, Clara Bell Kemp, Martha Loraine Box, Hazel Lee Miller, Barney Daniel Jourdan, Thomas Clinton Jourdan, John William Jourdan, Wilbourn Wesley Jourdan and Roosevelt Franklin Jourdan.
She is survived by: her husband Dr. George Leroy Howell of Starkville, Mississippi; and her children, Lee Howell of Morristown, Patrick Howell (Jason) of Orlando, Florida, Samuel Howell (Laura Lee) of Collierville, Tennessee, Lisa Howell Griffin (Garrett) of Columbiana, Alabama and Hannah Howell of Orlando. She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren.
