It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred C. Smith of Starkville, Mississippi, who passed away on February 28, 2026, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Ellis and Helen Ashley McPhaul Smith; Fred. He is survived by: his significant other Mary Thurman Smith; his children, Frank Ellis Smith, II of Rock Hill, Anna Marie Baldwin (Ronnie) of Madison, Mississippi and Luke McPhaul Smith (Sarah) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; his grandchildren, Kyle Smith, Shelby Smith, Allyse Baldwin, Abigail Baldwin and Sadie Baldwin; and his sister Kathy Miles (Tad).
