“Dr Egli and Nell were so kind to me. I think I will always remember the spicy smell of their gardenias and the rosemary on their front porch. I will remember planting daffodils for Dr Egli and parsley for his gulf fritillaries. I met him at the Oktibeha county Co op. He was looking for someone to help him in his yard. We were poor students and I needed the extra work. He took on and taught me patiently. We worked many happy hours side by side in the Eglis beautiful yard.”
