He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Dawkins and Gillis Dawkins; his wife Anita Ward Dawkins of Monticello, AR; and his siblings, Marion Harris, LaVerne Holloway, Janie Farris, Dottie Stephenson, Glen and Conrad Dawkins.
He is survived by: his sons, Roben Dawkins of Starkville, MS and Randy Dawkins (Dawn) of Columbus, MS; and his grandchildren, Camryn Dawkins McBrayer (Macon) of West Point, MS, Riley Dawkins of Starkville, MS and Sydney Dawkins of Columbus, MS. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to make gifts to the Louis E. Dawkins Endowment in the Richard C. Adkerson School of Accountancy at Mississippi State University, or the Louis E. Dawkins Scholarship fund at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR.
