He is survived by : his children, Mitchell Poole (Mary), Tyrunda Poole-Brandon (Lequeint), Desmond Allen, India Wilson, Jacqueline Harris and Dawner Shelton; his siblings, Mary Reese (Sammie), Verlene Fulton (Dwayne), Roy Allen (Dorothy), Gertrude Allen, Doris Allen Walters (Tony), Tony Allen (Mary) and Jimmie Allen; his aunts, Magnolia (Felix), Pearline Walts, Elzena Todd (Theodis), Mary James and Lacey Allen; and his uncle Charles Bell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church (2092 Red Bud Rd, Starkville, MS 39759).
