She was predeceased by: her parents, Dee Parnell and Louise Cates Parnell; her husband Kenneth Gerald Strong; her daughter Amy Gayle Strong Loggins; her parents-in-law, Gerald and Maxine Strong; and her siblings-in-law, Annelle Shelburne and John Hobbs, Sr..
She is survived by: her daughter Emily Strong Rutzky; her sons-in-law, Robert Rutzky and Roy; her grandsons, Jacob Hunter Loggins and Boyd Ellis Rutzky; her sister-in-law Jerolyn Strong Hobbs; her niece Amanda Shelburne Izard; and her nephews, John Kelly Shelburne and Matthew Hobbs. She is also survived by her family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Ott & Lee Funeral Homes - Forest (295 E 1st St, Forest, MS 39074). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at the Eastern Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forest Baptist Church.
