He was predeceased by: his former wife Annie Cooper-Smith; his son Randall Smith; his parents, Sam Triplett and Beulah Triplett; and his siblings, Sammy Lee Smith, Willie M. Smith, Herbert Smith and Martha Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Edwards-Smith; his children, Walter O. Smith (Kalista), Sherri Tolbert (Joseph), Terry Smith and Nicole Triplett; his stepchildren, Christie Durand (Kenneth), Delwin Cooper and Jeremy Clay; and his siblings, Hazel "Mary Joyce" Hall, Charlene Frazier and Bobby Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (142 Union Chapel Rd, Louisville, MS 39339).
