It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Earl Hendren Goode of State Line, Mississippi, born in Lucedale, Mississippi, who passed away on March 29, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Earnest Woodie Smith and Bertie Lee Smith; her son Phillip Eugene Hendren; her siblings, E. W. Smith, Floyd Smith, Clifford Smith, David Smith and Maggie Lucille Smith; and her granddaughter Jessica Jordan.

She is survived by : her children, Annice Jordan (Donald) of Waynesboro, MS, Charlotte Renee Gardner (Chuck) of State Line, MS and Timothy Charles Hendren of State Line, MS; and her siblings, James Smith of Lucedale, MS, Frank Smith of Lucedale, MS, Geraldine Snelgrove of Lucedale, MS, Helen Allen of Petal, MS, Evelyn Davis of Denham Springs, LA and Wanda Havard of Leakesville, MS. She is also survived by five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
