She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Taylor and Dorothy Thomas Taylor; her husband Timothy Wayne Flye; her son James Michael Lyons; her grandson Garret Hocutt; and her siblings, Buddy Taylor and Shirley Wheeler.

She is survived by: her children, Chris Hocutt of Centreville, VA and Patti McKee of New Brockton, AL; her sister Elvie Guin of Columbus, MS; and her grandchildren, Christy Ann Pennington, Amanda Cortes, Byron Hocutt, Noelle Hocutt, Jacob Sellers, McKenzie Tramel and Madison Tramel. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
