She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Baines and Anna Mitchell Baines; her husband J. F. Shepherd; and her siblings, James Baines, Gladys Porter and Brenda Hunter.

She is survived by: her children, David Shepherd of Steens, MS, Regina Dimitry (Dan) of Sharps Chapel, TN and Jill Walker (Mike) of Bonaire, GA; her sister Linda Baines of Steens, MS; her grandchildren, Stephen Dimitry, Jennifer Dimitry, Emily Gloyd (Tyler), Elizabeth Boyd and Michael Walker; and her great grandchildren, Asa Gloyd and Hilde Gloyd.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. A graveside service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
