He is survived by: his wife Joan Myers Drinkwine; his children, Buffy Morris (Ryan) and Benji Drinkwine (Linda); his grandchildren, Jackson Bowering, Gracie Drinkwine and Eli Drinkwine; his sister Arlene Brewer (Neil); and his close friend Larry Dykes.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to Stringer Baptist Church.
