He was predeceased by: his parents, Velton Stringer Sr. and Trudie Mae Stringer; his great grandchild Cohen Sage Stringer; his former wife Janis Bryant Stringer; and his wife Carolyn Stringer.
He is survived by: his children, Angela Wood (Leonard), Michelle Stewart (Irvin) and Jamie Stringer (Christi); his grandchildren, Nikki Welborn (Joseph), Laken Park (Seung), Tayler Bradberry (Corey), Jordan Stewart, Parker Bradshaw (Chase) and Cole Stringer (Makenzie); his great grandchildren, Emma Joe Welborn, Hazel Mae Welborn, Hadley Bradberry, Asher Bradberry, Breckyn Bradshaw, Natelee Prunera, Lynnlee Bradshaw, Stevee Bradshaw, Jamesly Stringer, Maely Stringer and Taika Park; and his siblings, Ben Stringer (Lynda), Wendell Stringer (Kathy) and Terry Stringer Bassett.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home (4593 Indian Springs Rd, Laurel, MS 39443). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Providence Cemetery.
