He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Carey and Virginia Brooks Carey; and his sister Lottie Bender. He is survived by: his son Brandon Carey (Cherisse); his grandchildren, Curtis, Devon, Jonathan and Breanna; and his nieces and nephews, Cherylin, Andrea, Jacque, Greg and Mike. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
