He was predeceased by: his wife Katie Ruth Alford; his parents, Inez Allen Alford and Claude Anding Alford; his granddaughter Autumn Brumfield Fury; his daughter-in-law Shirley C. Alford; and his siblings, Kathleen Easley (JD), Florene Brumfield (Hall) and C. A. Alford (Marilyn).
He is survived by: his children, Ramana Young (Joe), Rebecca Brumfield (James), Howard Alford (Sylvia), Lisa Alford and Andrew Alford (Kimberly); and his grandchildren, Taylor Young (Leslie), Zachary Young (Anna), Mitchell Young (Kaitlyn), Jacob Brumfield (Ashley), Megan Mordica (Joe), Connor Alford (Erin), Emily Easterbrook (Turner), Carley Daigle (Seth), Anthony Ardillo, Mason Alford, Carson Alford, Cooper Alford and Zoe Alford. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Progress Baptist Church (1010 Progress Church Rd, Magnolia, MS 39648). A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at the same location.
