He was predeceased by: his parents, Laness Freeman and Katie Wallace Freeman; his uncle Paul Wallace; and his friend David Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Brown Freeman of Summit; his children, Amy Gaskin (Wes) of Summit, Blake Freeman (Rachael) of Summit and Brent Freeman (Holly) of Brookhaven; his grandchildren, Bella, Lily, Katie, Lex, Sera, Connar, Callen, Haze, Paisley, Kamp, Knox, Barrett and Bodi; and his brothers, Buster Freeman, Bubba Freeman (Tracey), Donald Lee and Jackie Brown. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and dear friends.
