The passing of Leonard Kaberlein of Summit, Mississippi, born in Plains, Kansas leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on December 8, 2025 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kaberlein and Elizabeth Kaberlein; his sisters, Helen Hoover and Lorraine Lanzrath; and his siblings-in-law, Twila Kaberlein and Paul Hoover.
He is survived by: his wife Kaye Kaberlein; his children, Jim Kaberlein, Mike Kaberlein (Kathy) and Karla Holmes (Philip); his brothers, John Kaberlein, Don Kaberlein (Donna), Bob Kaberlein (Gloria) and Bill Kaberlein (Jeannine); his grandchildren, John Kaberlein (Shannon), Daniel Holmes, Dustin Holmes (Gracie) and Kellie Holmes; his stepgranddaughters, Tiffany McGoey (Bubba), Tisha Rachal-Boudreaux and Tessie Hobbs (Chad); and his great grandchild Katie. He is also survived by six step great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (125 E Bay St, Magnolia, MS 39652). A Mass will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
