He was predeceased by : his father Alonzo Keist; his daughter Sara Keist; his sister Deborah Keist; and his stepparents, Don Wagner and Wanda Keist.
He is survived by : his mother Cecile Wagner; his wife Grindl Keist of Summit; his son Adam Keist of Summit; and his brother Karl Keist of Bloomington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
