She is survived by: her husband Alfred Whitaker; her sons, Chris Piel (Donna) and Matthis William "Trey" Piel III; her grandsons, Blake Piel (Sara), Ethan Piel (Elizabeth), Evan Piel and Brandon Piel (Megan); her great grandchildren, Elizabeth Isabella, Millie, Hadley, Lainey and Ellie; and her stepdaughters, Liz Whitaker Byrd (Terry), Kristy Whitaker Lambert (Ron) and Ashley Whitaker Breakfield.
