She was predeceased by: her parents, Barbara Allen Howard and Reverend William Pearce "Buck" Lott; and her brother William Larry "Pete" Lott. She is survived by: her husband Alfred Whitaker; her sons, Chris Piel (Donna) and Matthis William "Trey" Piel III; her grandsons, Blake Piel (Sara), Ethan Piel (Elizabeth), Evan Piel and Brandon Piel (Megan); her great grandchildren, Elizabeth Isabella, Millie, Hadley, Lainey and Ellie; and her stepdaughters, Liz Whitaker Byrd (Terry), Kristy Whitaker Lambert (Ron) and Ashley Whitaker Breakfield.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (36 Oloh Church Rd, Sumrall, MS 39482). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Oloh Community Cemetery (36 Oloh Church Rd, Sumrall, MS 39482).
