It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Patterson of Sumrall, Mississippi, who passed away on October 27, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Neale Patterson; her parents, C. H. Broom and Emily Farlow Broom; and her siblings, Winona Kilpatrick, Ouida Anderson, Rosa Bond, Willene Summers, Harvey Broom and Columbus.
She is survived by: her children, Tammie Herrin (Ricky) of Bassfield, MS, Greg Patterson (Kim) of Sumrall, Timm Patterson (Pat) of Biloxi, MS and Keith Patterson (Karin) of Sumrall; and her brothers, Varnie Ray Broom (Elaine) of Grand Bay, AL and Terry Wayne Broom (Katie) of Moss Point, MS. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
